ESG Security working to support Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole

DECEMBER 2018

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are by no means the crime capital of the South West, but the combined Councils felt there was a gap in tackling business crime, and low level anti-social behaviour across the region.

To meet this need, the Councils have developed a Partners Against Crime partnership which includes Dorset Police and ESG Security. ESG Security provide Street Wardens to the various towns. The Street Warden’s remit is to increase community confidence, help reduce and enhance the reporting of crime. The Wardens are based in the centre of the towns but attend incidents all around the town centres.

The Wardens are provided with a patrol vest, stab proof jacket and handcuffs. The Wardens are fully vetted and report to the Police. The Wardens work is controlled by the Councils on intelligence gathered and events.

In 2019 ESG Security will begin providing security services to a number of clients in Bournemouth and Poole areas.
