In the United Kingdom, holding a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence is a legal requirement for individuals engaged in private security roles.

Using a SIA business account

Step 1 – Log into services.sia.homeoffice.gov.uk/login/.

Step 2 – Navigate to the section titled Watchlists.

Step 3 – Navigate to the respective watchlist.

Step 4 – Click on actions then manage.

Step 5 – Click on add a licence to this watchlist.

Step 6 – Search for the licence holder using the 16-digit licence number, or the licence holders’ personal details if known.

Step 7 – Navigate to the search results. Click the tick box and then click add selected licence to watchlist.


Public

Access the register of SIA licence holders – services.sia.homeoffice.gov.uk/rolh. You will then be able to search the register, using the 16-digit licence number, or the licence holders’ personal details if known. The licence sector, licence status and licence holders name will be displayed.
