Retail Security: Improved Through Innovation 5 July 2023

ESG Security, a top 5% SIA ACS security company, were contacted by a homeware retailer following a spate of shoplifting offences across their stores. Realising their current security strategy was ineffective, the retailer conducted a thorough review of their in-store security measures to identify the underlying issues. The review found significant failings of the existing provider, and the decision was made to terminate their contract due to poor performance. The review had also identified a need to work with a contractor that embraced modern practices, and could provide professional and effective security officers.

After being shortlisted in the procurement process, ESG Security’s managers presented their vision for delivering in-store security at the retailer’s headquarters. Impressed by our proposal, the retailer expressed their intention to award the new contract to ESG Security. Following a brief mobilisation period, we commenced the implementation of our plan, integrating guarding measures with state-of-the-art technology and smart devices to enhance service delivery. By combining qualified security officers with advanced technology, we successfully provided an effective security solution.  

Within three months of partnering with ESG Security, the following outcomes were achieved:
